Parm Chocolate Ice-cream Making Experience

So yesterday, I went to Rainbow Plaza at Ims to study. On the way home, I noticed that Parm was holding an ice-cream making promotion on the first flow of Ims.

Actually, it was just dipping their ice-cream in chocolate. But still! Free ice-cream! So I went and queued up!

This photo was taken after the even ended. I arrived about 3 minutes before they stopped accepting people.

I didn't have my camera with me, but luckily, I had my iPad and managed to get lots of pictures to show you guys!

the process (illustrated panels at the back)
So basically, once you're at the station, you're handed a small ice-cream on a stick.

By the way, I got lots of weird looks because I was carrying my iPad in one hand and snapping pictures the whole time ^^;

You tear away the plastic cover and hand it to the staff behind the counter. Then you dip your ice-cream in the chocolate container and wait for 10 seconds.

Look at this chocolately goodness! I would drink it if I could. But then I'd be Augustus Gloop. Eep.

snapped while waiting.

And of course, the ice-cream tasted fantastic. I don't know if it's because the chocolate was still a little warm, or if because I dipped it myself, but it was soooo good. Parm really made a smart move by doing this.

I offered to help some ladies snap a photo and they took this photo for me in exchange
The event lasted for two days (yesterday and today) and I think there were a bunch of other things going on as well. There was a place where you could take a photo with the ice-cream (no pictures of that though), and an "exhibit" of, I think, their newest flavours.

I'm actually really impressed with this marketing move, because I don't think I've seen it before. I mean, normally you have to pay for this. Or you pay to go to the factory to make this. When I was at the Shiroi Koibito factory in Sapporo, they charged for everything. Although if I had more money, I would have definitely paid and done some of the stuff that they offered.
